Support the project
We have a tip jar out at each event for folks to contribute to if audience members feel called. It's been a lot of fun offering these performances for free and removing the transaction and extra work involved with ticketing a show like this. It feels more like we're inviting friends over to share an evening and I dig that vibe.
I want to say thank you to all the folks who have shared their financial generosity for this project so far. I've been raising funds for creative stipends for the collaborating artists I'm working with and helping those who are traveling a bit too. And having that as a separate ask outside of the performance experience has felt really wonderful. It's been an honor to provide the creative folks who have paused their lives to join mine briefly and make this work a reality with a financial gift. It's meant a lot to me - and to them!
I'm nearly there! I am in the final stretch of fundraising. Remaining funds total $2,400 to complete the creative stipend goal. Perhaps you can help get the word out? Or become a sponsor yourself? Every dollar adds up and I'd love to add your name to the list of folks helping make this happen.
You can become a one time sponsor or a monthly donor. Details below.
with gratitude, Krista.

This expansive, complicated, and ambitious project is possible because of an ever growing community of folks who have shared their generosity towards this creative vision. I’d like to take a moment to share that community with all of you: all the folks making magic happen @ the Yellowstone Art Museum, Gordon McConnell, Jael Kampfe, Devora Neumark, Susan Sommerfeld, Kate Jordan Augusto, Sue Reitz, Kathy James, Heather Webster, the mothership, Mike & Sabrina Marshall @ Zee Creative, Allison Kazmierski @ Font & Figure, Blake Wahrlich @ Stella’s Kitchen & Bakery, Stumpy @ Office Depot, Scott @ Intermountain Health, David @ Billings Logan Airport, Sarah Kennedy @ Pura Vida, Michael Wall @ Sound 4 Movement, the Robin’s Wish Production Team, the OG Post-it Note Crew, and the Montana Arts Council, to everyone who has donated post-it notes, pill bottles, neck ties, alarm clocks, and financial support, to the artists and creative souls who have said “yes” to this long form journey, to my beloved spouse for being a creative soul mate and holding up this work alongside me, to my family near and far for granting me the space and support to step into this work with care, to my uncle and the way his voice and smile are always there when I think of him, and to my dad for all he endured and left behind as a lesson and legacy.

About the Project
The Post-it Note Project was inspired by the life (and death) of Terry Marshall, Krista’s father, who died at the age of sixty-nine from a progressive neurological brain disease called Lewy Body Dementia. He endured twenty years without a formal diagnosis and coped with memory loss through a tedious journaling system and an obsessive use of post-it notes. When his daughter, Krista, asked if she could tell his story he replied, "yes, you should name it 'stuck on you'."
In the 10 years since Terry has left, Stuck on You has evolved outward to include a longer meditation about loss, memory, and community. A collection of six storied vignettes serve as intimate journal entries in a story anchored around one person’s life, but then reflected into ekphrastic performative memoirs that bring the words out of the journals and into a shared experience.
The overall nature of Stuck on You has always been about connection, empathy, and a sincere dose of playfulness. Rather than telling her father’s story in a biographical way, the proposed works embrace his sentimental nostalgia, his generous nature, curious mind, and quirky humor.
